Reviews and Ratings
I had a fantastic week at the resort, enjoying marvelous diving and snorkeling right from my room with breathtaking views and stunning sunsets. The staff felt like family, always warm and welcoming. While the food was simple, it was tasty and I found it to be good value for Vanuatu's standards. However, our bungalow needed some maintenance, and navigating in the dark was a bit tricky due to inadequate path lighting.
Hideaway Island is a delightful spot with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where the staff truly treat you like family. The marine life is stunning, and the snorkeling experience is exceptional. However, the accommodations need some upgrades, as particular items were falling apart, and cleanliness could be improved. The dining options were decent but limited in variety for those wanting a cooked breakfast.
I had a wonderful time at this small island resort just offshore from Mele village. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making our stay feel special. The location was perfect for snorkeling, with an abundance of fish right off the shore, but the bungalows show signs of aging and could use some maintenance. Dining options were tasty but somewhat limited, and the prices were on the high side. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, especially for those who love marine activities.
I had a fantastic time at Hideaway Island Resort. The breathtaking views and friendly atmosphere made me feel right at home. The snorkeling experience was particularly memorable, with vibrant marine life just a stone's throw from the beach. However, some areas of improvement include the dining experience, which left me wishing for more variety and speed. Overall, I would definitely return for the diving and relaxation, but there’s room for enhancement in the food department.
The resort is a lovely getaway with a genuine family-like atmosphere and fantastic snorkeling right at your doorstep. The natural surroundings are beautiful, though the rooms feel a bit dated and lack modern amenities like reliable Wi-Fi. The snorkeling experience is unmatched, making it a great spot for underwater enthusiasts, but the maintenance of the rooms and facilities could use some attention.
